Logo Design

The Logo of a company can be considered the visual mascot of company's brand. The Logo is first visual concept to catch the eye of your clients and what distinguishes one company from the next.

Types of Logo Designs

Wordmark

A wordmark is a unique stylized texted logo that spells out the name of the company.

Wordmarks are excellent for short and unique names.

Wordmarks sidesteps the issue of recognition, especially if your business is not yet well known.

A lettermark is a unique design using one or more letterforms.

The lettermark can be the abbreviation or initials of the business name.

Lettermarks work especially well for businesses with long names.

Lettermark

Symbol

A symbol can be of an abstract or figurative design.

A symbol represents the company in a simple and bold manner.

Keep in mind, when a business is still relatively new, it is better to add a Word- or Lettermark to the symbol.

Emblem / Badge

An emblem is closely related to the combination design as it usually merges a symbol with a letter- or wordmark.

An emblem embeds the whole design within a visual border.

Combination design uses a symbol, wordmark and/or lettermark in combination to create the logo.

This is a great option for a new business that would like to be associated by a symbol but still needs to get their name out there.

First Brief Requirements

The first brief is an essential aspect to any design. It is during this stage where we get a clear picture of what you want in the design, and also do not want. It is important that the name of the company along with any slogan should be given to us exactly as it should appear on the logo. If there are any specifications regarding the style, color and message/history that should be included/reflected in the logo, this should be mentioned in the brief in order not to delay the design process at a later stage.
